Urban Sanctuary - Newport Beach

Newport Beach is located in Orange County - It's approximately a 50 minute drive from downtown Los Angeles and a 23 minute drive from Disneyland Resort.

Newport Beach is 1.3 km or .8 miles long.

This is  great place to escape the crowds and soak up the sun. There is heaps to do and see along the beach, Oceanfront Blvd and Balboa Blvd. The locals are very friendly and to this day I have never had a pizza as good as the one I had at Gina's Pizza (makes my mouth water just thinking about it)

O.M.G Best Pizza Ever!

I was only there for an afternoon, but spotted seals, dolphins and a huge variety of fish and bird life. Wild life can be seen at Upper Newport Bay Ecological Reserve and Crystal Cove. Whale watching is also popular with charter boats leaving from Newport Harbour.

All of the wildlife I saw was mainly from Newport Beach Pier one of two piers on the beach - The other one is Balboa Pier.
